I really liked the Broken Earth Trilogy so thought I'd check out others but I just can't get into this one...maybe I will try as audio book. Maybe it's the general topic that's not that interesting to me. Anyone read? Is it worth coming back to?

@libroXshu this is my favorite Nk Jemisin book but I’ve heard other folks have the same criticism as yours. It’s a little heavy handed but I thought it was a very fun read and appreciate any chance to dunk on staten island

@realityasylum@kolektiva.social Thanks for the input! The Staten Island character is definitely entertaining. I will set it aside for now but not give up on it totally. Maybe save it for an audio book on a long drive. thanks!
