Gripping!

Stranded, isolated and gripping! What a fantastic read! When forensic anthropologist Dr. David Hunter becomes stranded in the rugged landscape of Cumbria, he faces a case that tests every skill he possesses. This is a brilliant read where the sins of the past collide violently with the present. The narrative is packed with unexpected twists that kept me reading well into the night. While part of a series, it works perfectly as a standalone. Hunter’s empathy and relentless quest for the truth shine as the tension ramps up, expertly veering from one suspect to the next. With deep characterisation, evocative illustration of the scenery, and an ending executed as sharply as a crossbow, this atmospheric thriller is a must-read. My thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy. This is my own opinion.
